Graffiti Removers: Graffiti removal & anti-graffiti

What is the difference between Graffiti Remover and Soft Remover?

Gratch Graffiti Remover is for almost all substrates except very fragile substrates such as painted (painted or coated) substrates, plastic (plastic) etc. Gratch Soft Remover will not or minimally affect the substrate. It is important with both products, however, to rinse after to neutralize the effect. Both products are virtually pH neutral, non-toxic and biodegradable (environmentally responsible).

Can SRA Shadow Remover also be applied to the graffiti immediately? Or should you remove the graffiti first and then use SRA Shadow Remover?

SRA shadow remover removes only the last residues and has little effect on a closed layer of paint. Much graffiti can already be removed 100% with Graffiti Remover.

Are the Graffiti Removers biodegradable?

Yes, all products are biodegradable.

How long does the anti-graffiti impregnation last?

Hydro SP has a guaranteed operation of 5 years. In practice, an operation of 6 to 8 years is often achievable. The effect can be measured with Dr. Karsten’s tube. Of course, we can also perform this measurement for you.

Are the graffiti removers or impregnation harmful to the skin?

SRA Shade Remover has a pH of 14, which is harmful to the skin because products with a high pH are caustic. They neutralize with your skin, to the detriment of your skin. Always apply proper protective equipment. This applies to all skin-foreign substances in general.

Are there toxic gases in the products? Do you need to wear a mouth mask?

No, there are no toxic gases in the graffiti removers, however, in areas with inadequate ventilation it is recommended to wear respiratory protection.

Should the graffiti removers be collected after use? Can it get on the ground?

The graffiti removers are biodegradable. Whether it must be collected depends on the applicable general local ordinance.

How long do the graffiti removers remain effective after opening the package?

If properly sealed at least 12 months.

Are the graffiti removers and anti-graffiti coatings also usable when it is freezing outside?

Below -5 degrees, the effect is less.

We have removed the graffiti, but it remains visible where it has been. Is there anything we can do about that?

In most cases, yes, depending on the cause. If the substrate is damaged by excessive pressure, for example, it cannot be repaired. If there is still paint residue (pigment), also called shadow or ghost image, it can be removed from most mineral (stony) substrates with SRA Shadow Remover.

On the wall there are several layers of graffiti, paint. What is the best way to remove that graffiti or paint?

If they are thick layers, they are best treated with Ultra Gel, then post-treat with SRA Shadow Remover if necessary.

Can the graffiti also be removed with Graffiti Remover and cold water?

Often yes, sometimes hot water is necessary to activate the removal product. Hot water always makes removal faster and easier.

Is it possible to report the cost of purchasing the products or removing graffiti to the insurance company?

This varies from case to case, often it is covered under your property’s building insurance.

LiquiFoil: Foil for temporary surface protection

Can LiquiFoil also be applied to untreated wood?

This is possible only if the wood does not have too large pores where the LiquiFoil could creep in. A closed structure can be treated with LiquiFoil. Always perform a test on wood!

What is the difference between the 3 types of LiquiFoil?

The difference of the different types is in the standard thickness, batch size, storage time, customizability (coloring) etc. There is no difference in quality in terms of peelability!

LiquiFoil LF01 is our standard version, which can be applied to any non-absorbent substrate.

LiquiFoil Pro LF02 is the thicker version of this. Both can be supplied in 1,000-liter IBCs or 20-liter pails.

LiquiFoil Plus LF03 is the long-proven version. It is kept in large batches, can be produced in the desired color upon request, can be stored for 24 months and comes in 20 liter pails.

Can it be applied in multiple layers?

Yes, after the 1st coat has dried, a 2nd coat can be applied without problems

Does LiquiFoil contain glue?

No, this is also immediately the very big advantage over film on rolls that is stuck on with tape. The glue in the tape can cause problems if it stays on too long or too short.

Can you also order LiquiFoil in a color?

Yes, LiquiFoil Plus LF03 can be produced in the desired color.

Can you apply LiquiFoil to a car?

Yes, for a temporary protection in the 4×4 world or for a temporary color, LiquiFoil can be used.

What can you do if the LiquiFoil still doesn’t separate properly from the substrate?

This can occur because the surface is absorbent/sucking anyway. Warm water helps with loosening. If it is difficult to loosen because too thin a layer has been put on, a layer can be put on top. Using a pressure washer is not necessary, but is possible.

Can you apply LiquiFoil to a dirty/dirty surface?

The surface should be somewhat clean.

Does LiquiFoil block UV radiation?

No, it does not block radiation, but it is UV-resistant.

How long will LiquiFoil remain on a substrate outside under the influence of wind and weather?

LiquiFoil can remain on the substrate almost indefinitely. The longest experience we have in practice is 18 months without any problem.

When can LiquiFoil not be used?

When the temperature falls below 10 degrees Celsius, LiquiFoil dries too slowly because the water has difficulty evaporating. It should certainly not freeze before it is completely dry.

Mighty Brighty: Projection Screen Paint

What is the difference between the MPW 105 and the MPW 20 package?

The MPW 105 package is ready to use immediately. One does not need to add anything to the base paint and topcoat themselves. The MPW 20 is a custom screen where contrast and brightness are tailored to the room in which it is projected. In addition, the MPW 20 package allows one to create a black border around the image.

I would like to buy the MPW 105 or MPW 225 package but it does not include a frame. Do you sell that separately as well?

Yes, it is also possible to buy a package to make the frame. This package MPA 410 contains the magnetic paint and magnetic tape needed to make a frame.

Is the projection screen white?

No, the projection screen is always a “shade of gray. You cannot build contrast with white with a projector. The MPW 105 is very light gray, even slightly lighter than RAL 7047. The MPW 20 gets the shade of gray (the contrast) needed for the room in which the screen will be used. By adding one’s own contrast agent to the base paint, one determines how gray the screen becomes. The MPW 225 and MPW 350 are basically the same as the standard MPW 105 screen, but can also be customized.

How long does the paint last?

The Mighty Brighty paint and coating will keep for about 2 years after opening (if properly sealed, dark room, 15-20 degrees Celsius).

Which paint rollers should I use with the MPW 105, MPW 225 and MPW 350?

For BaseCoat and Topcoat, we recommend a wide, 2K roller.

Can Mighty Brighty be used on any surface?

The Mighty Brighty Projection Screen Paint System can be applied to stone, concrete, wood, plastic and plaster, and to any materials that have already been treated with ordinary wall paint.

What should I do if I want to use Mighty Brighty on a wall with a plastic coating?

If your wall or other surface consists of a very smooth plastic layer, you should first apply an adhesive coat so that the Mighty Brighty Projection Screen paint system can adhere sufficiently during application.

What should I do if I want to use Mighty Brighty on an MDF wall?

MDF walls should be thoroughly degreased beforehand with, for example, benzene or thinner. You should also treat them first with a primer.

How smooth should the surface be?

The wall should be smooth or nearly smooth (if you stand 2-3 feet from the wall, it should look smooth and even).

Can I use Mighty Brighty in any environment?

Make sure that the room and surface to be treated is dust-free and that there is no air circulation (e.g. air conditioner, fan), so that no dust can get onto the wet wall during application of the product.

Can I use Mighty Brighty at any temperature?

The Mighty Brighty Projection Screen Paint System is best applied at an ambient temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius and humidity between 40 and 70%. If the ambient temperature and/or humidity are different, the indicated drying and waiting times will be longer. Important: The paint coats cannot be applied if the ambient temperature is lower than 5 degrees Celsius.

Can I just paint Mighty Brighty over a wall that is dirty?

If the wall or substrate is very dirty (including nicotine, leaky spots), you should treat it first with a good insulation paint.

Can I just paint Mighty Brighty over a dark wall?

If the substrate is a very dark color, you should treat it once first with a plain white wall paint.

How long does it take to apply the Mighty Brighty Projection Screen paint system?

It is important to follow the instructions step by step and be patient on a regular basis. Because of the drying times of the various layers of paint, you will easily spend about 8 hours applying the product. We recommend spreading the application over 2 days and using the night as “drying time” for the 2 layers of BaseCoat.

How do I maintain the Mighty Brighty Projection Screen?

Do not clean the screen for the first 8 weeks. After that, you can clean the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth and lukewarm water. If necessary, you can especially add some mild liquid soap to this lukewarm water, or clean with Mighty Brighty Clean! Projection Screen.

Is the projection screen suitable for any projector or beamer?

The Mighty Brighty Projection Screen can be applied to any beamer or projector, 4K or 3D (active 3D only with battery-powered glasses).

Can anyone paint Mighty BrightyProjection screen paint?

The Mighty Brighty Projection Screen Paint System can be applied by anyone. A test carried out simultaneously by: a painter, the manufacturer, a housewife and a student showed that after the projection screen paint was applied to a different panel by all 4 persons according to the instruction booklet, it was not possible to tell afterwards by whom the 4 panels were painted.

Is Mighty Brighty also suitable for 3D projection?

Mighty Brighty is suitable for active 3D projection (with battery-powered 3D glasses).

What to do if “streaks” are still visible after applying the TopCoat?

It is important when applying the TopCoat to always unroll in the same direction (from top to bottom) so that the ‘reflectors’ are all facing the same direction. It is possible that ‘streaks’ are still visible after application. The total curing time of the TopCoat is about 6 weeks. Depending on the ventilation in the room and any moisture in the substrate, the total curing time needs some time. After application the projection screen can be used immediately, but the reflection of the TopCoat will still improve in the 6 weeks after application.

Renovio: Surface & protection products

Does Renovio RV-04 Glass Renovator 2-in-1 also have a protective effect?

Yes, it cleans, polishes and protects in 1 treatment. However, the protection is for a limited duration. For longer-lasting protection, Renovio RV-05 Glass Protector is recommended.

Why must the glass first be treated with Renovio RV-01 Glass Precleaner before the Renovio RV-05 Glass Protector can be applied?

This is to remove all contaminants deep into the glass pores so that the Glass Protector can adhere well in the pores.

How long does the Renovio RV-05 Glass Protector work?

The effect depends very much on the circumstances. On a shower door that is used a lot, it will work for about 6 months. On a window that receives little precipitation, it will work for years.

Can Renovio RV-15 Alu Renovator 2-in-1 be used on coated window frames?

Yes, it is specially designed to clean, polish and protect powder-coated surfaces in 1 treatment.

RevoGlas: Glass renovation & scratch removal

What types of glass can be processed?

In principle, any type of glass can be machined. Only the presence of a coating on the glass must be excluded, as it can be damaged by machining the glass. Also, an acidified (etched) or sandblasted side cannot be processed or can be processed to a very limited extent.

What is the advantage of having a window renovated rather than replaced?

It provides cost savings of 25-95% and immediate time savings. In addition, CO2 emissions are about 0.5 kg per kg of glass. Renovating is a very environmentally conscious alternative.

Other companies have already tried to remove the scratches with a different polishing system, to no avail. Can the lens formation or swirl formation still be repaired?

Yes, in most cases this damage can still be repaired invisibly with the RevoGlas system.

Can tactile scratches be removed?

Yes, unless they are in the edge zone. Then the glass lath or glass plate should be temporarily disassembled.

I have a vintage car. Is it possible to renovate that glass?

Yes, it can be done without any problems or limitations.

There is some kind of deposit or layer on my glass and has a dull appearance. Can this glass damage be removed?

Yes, this can be removed by following the steps of the RevoGlas system.

Can a scratch on the inside of a car window be removed?

Yes, if there is enough space it is possible.

We have acid tags (etching graffiti) in the glass, can you remove this glass damage?

Yes, this is one of the key points of the RevoGlas system to restore this invisibly.

We have pits in the glass due to weld spatter or grinding, are they still removable?

Yes, in the vast majority of cases this can be removed invisibly.

We have a pool with scale on the glass, can this be removed?

Yes, it is also possible to get the glass completely clear again with the RevoGlas system. The cost is much lower than replacing the glass.

My window is cracked, is glass renovation still possible now?

No, glass renovation is only possible if there is no breakage or star-shaped damage in the glass.

I have already used polishing paste, but that did not give any effect. With your system, why do you manage to get the scratch or damage out?

Polishing alone is usually not enough to remove scratches invisibly. The combination of the advanced RevoGlas system components, make it possible to remove damage deeper in the glass. Of course, without deformation afterwards.

Does RevoGlas also work on tempered glass?

Yes. The only difference between tempered and traditional glass is that it is heat-treated for strength and safety (it breaks into small pieces). RevoGlas is widely used on tempered glass in storefronts, home windows and doors, and the results are the same as traditional glass – clarity remains without visible distortion.

Does RevoGlas also work on mirrors?

Yes, a mirror is simply glass with a reflective backing.

Does RevoGlas also work on a car windshield?

RevoGlas systems have been used successfully on many different types of windshields on a wide range of vehicles. Be sure to follow the curve of the glass during the repair.

Circles appear in the glass while sanding. What am I doing wrong?

Often new RevoGlas users report during initial repairs that they produce slight concentric circles or distortions and don’t know what they are doing wrong. There are two possibilities:
1. The surface of the RevoDisk is not completely flat against the glass during the grinding process. This will usually produce circles/distortions that look like overlapping concentric arcs with an opening on one side. The side of the disc that is raised during grinding is the side of the circle with the open arc.
2. The RevoDisk is pressed against the glass with too much force. When this happens, they are complete, overlapping circles. Once less to slight pressure is applied to the disc, the circles/distortions should stop.

How deep may the scratches be that are removable?

We have never received a report of a deep scratch that our systems could not remove. Deep scratches are regularly removed with great results without distortion, even damage with a glass cutter can be removed. In addition to deep scratches, RevoGlas has left no distortion when repairing crumbled glass fragments. These types of deep damages can take more time to repair and, as a result, users often bill their customers 50 percent of the glass replacement cost. Surely that is a significant savings that makes the customer happy.
